Ramon Llull - Majorcan Philosopher
The Catalan nacionalist doctrine has appropriated the figure of Ramon Llull with the creationof a number of institutions with their name to promote Catalan culture and language. But we know that Ramon Llull was not catalan, but he born in Mallorca shortly after the conquest of Jaime I, between the years 1232and 1235, and had a deep Mallorcan origin. Llull, unlike teachers of his time as San Anselmo, San Bonaventura, and Saint Thomas Aquinas, who did not write any book in their land, he wrote a quarter in Mallorca, among them the two most important "Llibre de contemplació en Déu God" "The Majorcan origin of Llull has always been recognized ecerywhere so far: by King Pere of Aragon in 1939 - "Scientia generalis, quam Magister Raymundis Lull, oriundus civitatis Maioricarumn" - by juries of Mallorca in 1480 - "son and native of this kingdom of mallorca, our compatriot" - and by Fra Francesc Palou in 1785 - "the last panegyric preached (Fra Juníper) was commissioned by the University in the solemn feast on January 25 celebrates its patron, Compatriot and iliminated Dr. Raymond Lully Blessed".

Regarding the language inwhich he wrote, they don´t stop of telling us that Llull was the architect of the Cátalan language, but it was Llull who once wrote what was the language he used, the Mallorcan romance. In "Llibre de contemplació en Déu". Ramon Llull was the "Ballad of this work of Arabic in romance" in "Lògica d´Algatzel" was the "transfer of Latin in romance" and in "Blanquerna" "that any woman could read a book on romance to they could understand".
